Outlook

Efforts will be made to transform the Leishmaniasis Research Center of Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences into a research hub in the field of leishmaniasis at the regional and national levels in the next five years. Also, with rational planning and based on research and educational activities, it can play an effective role in finding practical answers to the needs of prevention, timely diagnosis, and treatment of leishmaniasis.

Mission

 The Leishmaniasis Research Center of Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences is trying to provide a suitable platform for encouraging, attracting, and employing researchers in the field of leishmaniasis by utilizing the capabilities of its faculty members, researchers, and staff. In addition, by utilizing scientific documentation and based on community-oriented educational thinking, it is taking great steps towards improving the health of the people of Sabzevar city (as one of the endemic centers of leishmaniasis) and Iran.

Goals

 Improving the quantity and quality of research and knowledge production in the field of Leishmania

 Expanding national and international communications and cooperation

 Empowering human resources at various levels through holding workshops, seminars, and congresses on the latest scientific findings in the field of Leishmania.

 Strengthening public participation in the prevention and control of leishmaniasis in the region

 Strengthening the system for recording and collecting data related to leishmaniasis

 Knowledge production and dissemination
